- I saw this quote hanging on the wall at my sons school tonight while waiting for his parent teacher conference. Such simple words, that makes perfect sense to our children, yet we as adults struggle to practice this ourselves. I became a personal trainer because I wanted to help people. However, I confess that life sometimes gets so busy outside of training, my other job, and my kids and their schedule that I don't take a breath to stop and think of what I could do to make someone else's day better. We get so caught up in our own lives that we forget about others. Then, for a lot of us, stress due to our busy lives makes us irritable, bitter and resentful toward anyone that gets in the way of our daily tasks. We see it through road rage, people griping over how long it's taking the person in front of them in the line at the grocery store, taking out our stress on a coworker, and the list goes on. Just think, would we all be a little bit happier if we slowed life down and thought about one thing each day that we could do for another person? I've been trying to implement this each day, which I admit, I have failed at a day or two; but I've been focusing on little things to start, such as helping return someone else's grocery cart for them after loading groceries in their car or letting someone go in front of me in a check out line. I know those things may seem small to you, but getting into a habit of thinking of others leads to heart of serving in a bigger capacity. #wisewords #smartkids #motivation #inspiration #dogood #helpothers #serveothers #life #happiness #bebetter #grow #instagood #bestself #iam1stphorm #momsofinstagram #learn #selfgrowth #biggerpicture #dowork

- "The capacity to be alone is the capacity to love. It may look paradoxical to you, but it's not. It is an existential truth. Only those people who are capable of being alone are capable of love. Of Sharing of giving into the deepest of another person. Without possessing the other, without reducing the other to a thing. They allow the other absolute freedom. Because they know if the other lives they will be as happy as they are now. Their happiness cannot be taken by the other, because it is not giving by the other.
